Closed Office

John Cunningham PA

I have now retired and have closed my law firm.  It has been my pleasure and privilege to have helped serve families in this area for many years.

I do not have the original documents of  clients.  All originals and hard copies were given to clients when estate planning was completed, and in many cases, I provided electronic copies at the same time.  I will maintain my copy of any client files at least for the six-year period required under bar regulations.   Consistent with those regulations, closed files can be destroyed after that time.

Again, I appreciate the opportunity I have had to serve you and many families in this area and wish you all the best.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

You may email me at jrcnclaw@gmail.com.

Estate Planning

For some individuals, a simple plan consisting of a will, financial power of attorney and medical directives may take care of the client’s needs in an efficient way.  For others, it may be advisable to incorporate ways to simplify the administration of the estate through reduction of probate procedures, including the use of revocable living trusts.

Administration of Estate

After a person dies, his or her estate must be administered so that the estate is distributed as planned. The estate must determine the debts and pay them. Final income tax returns must be filed. Any property passing under the Will must go through the probate procedures as required by law.
